New Member Induction - EM

English Ministry (Restoration Fellowship) enjoyed introducing 4 new members to the congregation during 12/13 service.
Here are a brief testimonies of each new member.

In order to becoming a new member, you must first go through 5 training sessions (1 joint with KM Senior Pastor) and take a vow before the congregation.

Joyce Chung
In all honesty, I didn't want to attend SKPC when I returned to Charlotte. I knew a good handful of the people who went to Nambu, including my brother Bryan but a part of me was still very uneasy and unsure. So I began to pray and asked the Lord where he wanted me to be. God quickly reminded me of great people he had place in my life through the church like Mrs. Gina, Mrs. Lynsoo, Mr. Namsoo and many others. With that I decided to attend the church and I began to pray for people and the body as a whole. I started to see hope for the first time for Charlotte and I knew this was the place God was leading me to serve. I believe becoming a member shows dedication and love to body of Christ and that is what I hope to learn through serving SKPC. I want to be able to love this church as if it were my own family and to encourage and challenge one another to step out of our comfort zones and to sink in deeper in to love of Jesus Christ.

Several years ago, my friends that attended SKPC were hosting a fundraiser and they asked me to help them with their praise night, so that’s when I first made visits to the church. At that time, I was attending a different church and teaching there so I didn’t think about switching to a different one. After my long absence at the previous church I attended, I had several great friends who were persistent on inviting me to come out to SKPC. Becoming a member will benefit me to be committed to a congregation and be held accountable as a Christian.

Silver Ye
My name is Minglan, go by Silver. I came to Charlotte to study and met Peter at School, found SKPC through Peter. I am not sure about what God's plan is, but I am sure that he will lead me to where he wants me to be and I feel like SKPC will be a great place for me to grow and serve. I am very blessed to be part of the SKPC and get to know more about so many brothers and sisters.

Eric Han
My name is Eric Han and I came to know about SKPC through my brother, who recently became a member of this church. I was drawn to this church by many things, but the one thing that made me regularly attend was the community. I have experienced and seen the strong, family-like community at SKPC EM and that helped me decide in becoming a member of this church. I believe becoming a member of a church is highly important because it symbolizes a person's bond with the body of the church and Christ. Through the membership, I hope to continually have a bond with the church through Christ and carry out the Gospel with SKPC in our words, thoughts and actions. As a new member, I hope to do what SKPC has done for me to others and newcomers with the love of Christ.
